Acia Miller, horse/mule trader

Hey Y'all from TN. I am researching a lawsuit from 1947 that involves a mule that had a colt (one in a million). Evidently a Mr. Acia Miller (horse/mule trader) from St. Martinsville, LA sold a 20 year old molly mule to a "negro farmer", Mr. Samuel Basile sometime in September of 1946. The following year, the mule foaled. Mr. Miller came to Mr. Basile's farm and took the mule and colt back claiming that he had only loaned the animal to Mr. Basile. A $50,000 lawsuit was filed and I am trying to learn the outcome. An article titled "Mule and Colt Cause $50,000 Suit" was published in 1947 in the Memphis Commercial Appeal with a photo from the AP of the molly and her baby. I have had no luck with the newspaper or the AP archives...if anyone knows of this Mr. Acia Miller, would you mind getting in touch? This is for an article for Western Mule Magazine since I am writing about the rare occurrence of mules being sterile - of which there are not many at all, and I am sure that this was big news in St Martin Parish at the time:-) Thank you so much, Deb Kidwell and the longears of Lake Nowhere Mule and Donkey Farm, Martin, TN
