I take some pleasure in it. Bochy's headed for the HoF as a manager, but SF employs a pair of jackholes in Pagan and Bumgarner that make it easy to root for failure.

Non-zero chance of a "Spangenberg leg surgery" headline this winter. Even if he avoids that, the probable loss of speed will really hurt. Besides Spang not being anything like a shortstop, that's Sardinas' job to lose now.

My thought was Asuaje at 2b. His bat seems ready, his defensive reports are good, and Schimpf does give a fair amount back on the gloveside.

We do have OF options. Janks, Margot, Renfroe, Dickerson, Schimpf. They all have flaws, but real upside, too.

Whoever gets trotted out there to pitch wants Jankowski and Margot on the field at all times.

Most importantly, what the hell happened to Myers?
