It's a microcosm of the season that we didn't have a single post about a great piece of starting pitching last night....especially given they are likely to be few and far between.

Is Lake Elsinore's rotation better than SD's?

Agree Alan, I'm more interested this year than I have been in the past. Let's see if Renfoe, Hedges, Margot and a few more can be part of the next good Padres team.

Let's see if any of the SP can become a trade chip. Let's see if Schimpf is for real and what they might cash him in for given 4+ years of control remaining on a 40 HR bat.

Should be a fun year and I'm guessing that the defense and bullpen make them win more than expected.

There's no much hope for this year, but I'm more interested than I was last year. The rotation is terrible, but with Renfroe and Margot and Hedges, I'm excited to see some of the young guys.

I stopped following them that way a while ago. But I've been done with the NFL for about a year, and while I watch the NBA pretty darn closely and I'm strangely getting into soccer despite all logic, ... more
