So, I give Tom Krasovic all the credit in the world for staying on the local teams beat. And in a lot of cases, adding a lot more depth and critical analysis than he was able to while working at the UT.

That being said, I don't know what he's getting at here.

Can you guys figure it out? Is he hinting there's something else going on but not speaking to it? Or is he just connecting two pieces of information poorly, as it seems to me.

If the rights deal with FOX is to believed - and Krasovic is the only guy who seems to be talking about the FOX deal with any detail - it would give Moorad more ability to pay off the debt, not less.

Is he suggesting that Moores himself was concerned about the group's viability, now he isn't?

Anyway. I get the feeling Krasovic thinks he's got a juicy nugget. It just doesn't make any sense to me. It's also worth noting that I seem to recall Krasovic and Nightengale having a lot of the same sources. So, maybe not all that surprising that they're on the same page with respect to the rights deal.
