From Tim Sullivan via the Tweeter:

"Jeff Moorad not stepping down as #Padres CEO, but withdrawing application to become "control" person to get TV deal done. More to come."

Sullivan says himself more info is forthcoming. So, I'll try to be patient and not jump to too many conclusions. But boy does MLB have a lot of messes on their hands around ownership right now. And the Padres is the least of them.
