I don't think a salary cap is fair to the players, nor do I think the owners should need an artificial check on their own choices.

As a Padres fan, it's pretty much our team's only hope of consistently competing.

As to this season, I know we weren't going to be great, but the strikeouts and the errors are killing me. Supposedly they worked more on these things in pre-season, yet the fielding is atrocious and I haven't seen a two strike swing all year.

          It seems to have been at least partly the umpire's fault, but a triple play? In the 9th inning? Whatever I did, karma, why are you punishing all the other Padre fans?
