I fell in love with minor's bourbon sauce and decided to try to make it myself at home. The basic components of the sauce in it's "natural habitat" include

- soy sauce
- vinegar
- brown sugar
- water
- pepper sauce (I used flakes)
- salt
- puree onion
- molasses
- lemon juice
- beef stock
- butter
- lemon

To this foundation I added pineapple juice, hoisin sauce, and ginger.

It took a little playing and some thickening, but the result is very nice. Certainly not exact but enough of the flavor profile to be great on both poultry and beef.
