She almost protested that they were leaving Project F without any proper supervision and who knows what might happen while they were gone, but he had a gleam in her eye that said they were better off without carrying around containers of dirt and bugs so she trusted him and let the matter drop. He had said it wasnt a unicorn, but that didnt stop her from humming the Unicorn Song as they walked, mostly just to see the tops of his ears reddened as he realized what she was doing. People seemed to be actively not looking at them. The duel with Georgia had lead to the rumour that they were both nuts. She tried the whole way to get him to tell her and he refused. As he steered her towards to the Cherry Pit she looked confused. Hamburgers and strawberry shakes? He had denied it, but who knew with him? He covered her eyes and her heart thumped a million beats per minutes. She squeezed her eyes shut and when the light against her lids indicated it was okay, she cracked her eyes open. She looked around at the huge screen, the sofa that was old looking and new enough to not be chatty.

Then there was the projector.

Is that an actual Lumiere? she asked, running her hands over it It is. Where did you find it? I had to take ages to get it working right? Can we see what its guts look like? she shook the thought off, as she looked around the room again, bringing herself back to the present world and what he actually meant for this thing to be about. She looked at him, looked at her own outfit, a set of jeans and flobberworm dirt-stained trainers and a shirt. Is this all just for us? Rea, proper no one else but us? Oh, wow. Leo, II am so dressed wrong for this. Hold on. She flicked her wand, and they dissolved. Becca had insisted that it was not an outfit that was meant to be seen, but sometimes that girl made no sense whatsoever. It had a perfectly serviceable lined short skirt with gold sparkles that matched her - his- bracelet. The top was a bit sheer, sleeveless, dropped into a sweetheart line stitched in red and faintly gold designs. Why would they make a dress youre not suppose to look at? The shoes, by comparison were boring sensible flats. She shook her hair out of its ponytail. She looked at her outfit, then looked at him. She flicked her wand and the colours shifted to match his shirt better.

Its better right? she asked him, though he had that half drunk look on his face. She stepped out of the shoes and folded herself onto the couch. Cmon. Hurry up before the previews start and we miss the fun bits with the dancing soda cup.

  • Not cake. - Leo, Tue Nov 25 10:19
Leo ignored the protests. It was simpler that way. Otherwise he'd have to try and fathom how she could name a thing, call it George or Fred or the like, and then be perfectly happy to turn it inside... more
