The Rolling Dark

"We'll see just how good you are" she teased and offered him a liquorice wand from her bag as the movie started. " I mean I didn't plan much and I do kinda want to go dancing for a bit" She bumped her shoulder with his. "But I'm sure they would understand if we didn't make it. "

She had chosen the Rolling Dark less for it's plot - whose reviews varied depending on the reviews taste in horror- but for its visuals.

As the traveler's presence continued to warp the thoughts of the townfolk, she took the arm that he'd put around her shoulder and placed it between their seats, the better to wrap her arms around it.

A tense moment between Alaister Hayes and Deacon Connell, was slowly unwinding, only to be interrupted by the sudden reappearance Richard Thomas. At least it had once been Richard Thomas. He was only alive in the sense that his eyes moved, he was breathing, and his heart was very clearly beating. This was the first view the movie had properly given of it's victims, who had last been seen as screaming streams of light, or through the reactions of other characters.

Grace gasped a little and squeezed Leo's arm. Her eyes glinted in the dark, roving from one end of the screen to the other as though trying to parse out as much information as she could from that one shot. She needn't have worried, as the movie quickly dropped only pretense of discretion shots from then on. She still jumped a little still squeezed his arm, or hand, but where the audience around them was responding with gasps of horror and the occasional " I hate you. I don't why I let you talk me into this." she was utterly fascinated. She glanced back at Leo in between these moments, to make sure he was enjoying it too, or at least everyone else's reaction, and took some time out to squeeze his knee helpfully (and give his arm a break). The quiet sound of his chuckle after the scene in Simply Simon's Bou-teek caused one of the older boys to squeal like a firstie girl reached her ears and nuzzled him briefly, having missed the sound o the Leo that was usually reserved for alcove and Project F work.
