He wasn’t sure when they went beyond kissing, but it was something that had needed to happen for a long time now. In the back of his mind, something whispered about age differences, their status as teammates and assorted other nonsense. But it was all useless babble. Like thinking. If he had allowed himself to think, he would have wondered that she seemed to know just what he wanted and his deathlist would have gotten that much longer. He brought them together and only when she gasped did it dawn on him she might not be as experienced as she implied. He was swept up in the intensity. It was as though every argument, every frustration they’d been dancing around for the past few years was summed up and released in one pent up burst of moment and while was what he had wanted it, he wasn't sure it was what he should have done. He pulled away, breathing hard, looking at her in a new way.

"What are you?" he asked. He'd heard of Veelas, same as any red-blooded boy had, but there was no way Veelas were that intense. Not in the best of his dreams. It wasn't right though. He sounded like he was accusing her. He pulled himself together and kissed her again.

"Okay...good talk. Just...okay."
