And another thing...

The late night at the Pit had produced more than one student who was worse for wear. Several pale faces crowded the Dining Hall, thanking their Gods it was Saturday. Trying to make it through a lesson was challenge enough, let alone when your stomach was trying to escape through your mouth.

Max was no exception but he was bearing it better than most. It was probably because he had something to complain about and he'd been ranting for at least an hour. His breakfast remained mostly untouched - which meant it was serious.

"What really gets me is his smug face," Max said, slamming his glass of water down. Brad groaned and Arabella rolled her eyes. Every other sentence had started with 'What really gets me' and they were getting more.

"No, seriously," Max frowned. "You should have seen it, like he'd won the World Cup or something. All she did was steal his drink!"

Arabella put down her glass of orange juice and tried to look as sympathetic as she could. "We know," she sighed and patted his arm.

"But you don't," he insisted. "Ri is like this little kid. She talks like she knows things but she doesn't. She doesn't know anything and Hounslow is taking advantage of that." He gritted his teeth together. The two Captains didn't appear to be bothered about it but he was starting to see Dagon at the number one enemy.
