It was another day of lousy winter weather, that stopped all but the hardest Quidditch enthusiasts in the school( and their relatives. And boyfriends. And girlfriends) from attending. Lack of an audience had never bothered any of the Thestrals, but as Brad gathered them back into the locker room, he was particularly glad of it.

Someone, probably Keats said something about it the bad weather. " Don't." he began "Don't anyone even try. That ought there " he pointed to the pitch "Had nothing to do with the skies. That was just..." his mouth gaped for a while " I don't even know what that was. Did you all take idiot pills in your juice this morning? Have you all bewitched yourselves back to first year? Those mistakes out there had to be the most blatantly stupid moves ever performed in the history of Quidditch. What do you have to say for yourselves?"

No one said anything ( someone had wisely thrown their hand over Keats mouth)

"Damn right you have nothing." he continued. "So what are you going to do to fix the mess you've all made?"

The word 'wrong' had come out his mouth in a spew of dark greys and vicious reds which, if it hadn't been so stinging, she would have enjoyed as very Thestrally. Still, it wasn't the worst thing he'd ... more

He watched her leave. He really needed to stop doing that. She needed to stop making him want to do that. He was older, he told himself, he was older and her Captain and it was his job to not want... more
