Sean had begun spending a lot of time in the Courtyen. Not many other kids did so he have to worry about being disrupted. He sat at one of the benches used for Herbology, working on his homework. Then of course, he would have to write to his parents to explain to him that he did in fact make it to the school.

So he was, relatively speaking, the first person to hear it. A tinkling sort of noise, like glass clicking against itself. He looked up. The balls of light that aided the indoor patio (which depended more on the sunlight through the windows than anything) were not held by glass. Why should they be? They were magic.

So what was that sound?

clink clink

There it was again. Maybe one of the pots, clankin’ up together for…who knows…plant talk? He looked. Any plant in its own pot was separated by enough of a distance to make that impossible.

He shook his head and went back to his work. It was more than likely nothing.
