At the dawn of Mikey’s RMI career, he had been fortunate enough to befriend a boy called Jesse Ramos. In the years since then, Jesse quickly grew to be his best friend. But Jesse was an active student who liked to get involved in things, which led Mikey to tag along into things. The boys played Quidditch together. They did musicals together. They pined over girls together. They did almost everything together.

But the problem was, Jesse was good at everything. As obvious from the last name Ramos, a family whose fortune was not necessarily made but certainly expanded on the Quidditch industry, Jesse was a natural athlete. Mikey, on the other hand, wasn’t so good; actually, he kinda sucked at sports. It was a bit of a miracle that he continuously made the Aquila team, although frequently he rode the bench.

It was kinda weird how unrestricted groups were at RMI, that the athletes could also do musicals. He and Jesse routinely auditioned, and of course Jesse was also a fantastic singer. But funnily enough, Mikey was actually pretty good too. He supposed he owed it to genetics; the charming, graceful soprano of his mom, the hushed, private baritone of his dad. So sometimes he, like, got good roles and stuff. It was weird, but the brunet kinda liked it.

“Hey,” grinned the fourteen year old upon entrance to the directors’ room. He didn’t really know this Tennant guy, but he had apparently been at RMI in the Olden Days. Hestaea spoke kindly of him, said he was an excellent man. “I’m going to sing ‘Dentist!’ from Little Shop of Horrors.” Miky paused, closing his eyes briefly, submitting his entire entity to the song, before dropping his jaw and releasing his inner sadist.
