Samuel was by a nature an observant individual, and the fact that he was currently paying attention -- more so than he actually did to other people -- to Brair, he saw the slight narrowing of her eyes, probably directed at him. He blinked in confusion at that. He didnít understand what in the name of Merlin was happening with this girl, and he was more interested because of that. One second she seemed interested and the next she wasnít. Women were too complicated, but Samuel liked trying to understand them. He wasnít like that with everyone woman with a pair of good legs. After all, he had a photographic memory. The former squashed the latter.
Samuel laughed at her question, ďWell, depends. She wasnít a girlfriend per se, but we didnít end whatever we had. Seanna was complicated.Ē There had been a few girls he had casually dated after fifth year, but none had been anything serious. He could think about her supposedly Ravenclaw membership another time, or maybe he hadnít seen her before because he hadnít been paying attention. Unlikely, but possible. ďWhy? You interested?Ē he returned her flirtatious smile.
The smug little smile dancing on his lips made Briarís eyes narrow slightly in annoyance. Mostly because it made her aware that she was paying far too much attention to him, it was clearly giving him ... more
