Healer McMurray continued pacing through the room, watching his students work. The pacing was calming him down. The Healer still needed some time to get used to this new teaching job. The only thing he wanted to hear in his classroom for the next few minutes was silence, just the turning of the pages of the textbooks. Healing was a serious career choice and he wanted to weed out the prospects that wouldn’t be able to make it, which was why he had made his curriculum hard. Jacob was strict and took really took his job seriously, and he wanted his students to be clear from the beginning what he was expecting of them. No slackers. Jacob was not the kind of person to give second chances, because in healing, you didn’t have one. People lives were something you didn’t play with. He hoped his students realized the commitment they were getting into.

Jacob realized that a student had raised his hand and dutifully made his way to the student. “What is your name?” he asked. The Healer then realized that the student was reading the textbook in Braille version. He narrowed his eyes. He didn’t have anything against blind people, but the reality was that they required more attention and could endanger patients. “What can I help you with?” He was not going to judge him before he knew more about the student. It wouldn’t be fair. For all he knew, he was one of the brightest one in the classroom and he deserved a chance to prove his worth. Plus, it was horrible to discriminate the disabled.
