I liked that statement, as well. I think that if we are not moving forward and learning ourselves, we are standing still - and becoming stagnant. How can we ask our students to learn new things if we are not willing to be learners ourselves? Research "marches on" and researchers are constantly finding out new things about ways children learn...and if we don't continue to be a part of the learning ourselves, the educational world will pass us by...and we will not be effective teachers.
