I really think that is a creative idea! I can see it being really motivational for girls and boys alike to have those bags that they use for their books. I also think that sharing the books that they read with classmates was a good idea. It is exciting to see the kids get excited about books, isn't it, and want to read what their friends have read. In my experience as a reader, one of the best ways to find new books that I want to read myself is to ask friends what they have read that they like. It seems like such a "Duh?!?" kind of thing, but I hadn't thought of that as a strategy! Good idea!

I like the idea of canvas bags and allowing them to decorate the bags with fav books! Anything that will help them see reading as a fun, positive experience!
