So, would the students pretend to read to the stuffed animals or was it a part of being comfortable while reading? I have never worked in the younger grades so this is all new to me!

      Today I actually bought in an Elf on the Shelf and they took to him slowly, but completely! By the end of the day today they were telling me to tell the elf they named Freddie, goodbye! Too funny!

        I guess either one would work? I think it was more of a comfort thing for my students who were mostly in 1st and 2nd grade, but I guess they could try to read to the animal as well. Whatever works to ... more
