I have a friend that has actually taught in a school where the classes are grouped by gender. She taught 3rd grade girls and she loved it. The type of stories that they read and the conversations that they had were always genuine. No one was concerned about their image. I agree that, giving the students a chance to talk "boy" talk and "girl" talk, really added to the dynamic of the classroom.

        I think I would LOVE the chance to teach just a classroom of girls! That would be such an enlightening experience!
