I liked how your research also showed Word Build/Sorts benefits for your students and the educational gains they were able to make.

If I were a 4th grade teacher, I would be using Word Build with word sorts too! As mentioned on my groupís threaded discussion, I just canít imagine where studentsí reading and spelling abilities could be if they started using word sorts as far back as Kindergarten. I wonder what kinds of words they would be studying if they already knew how to decode, chunk, and read familiar word structures when they entered a 3-5th classroom. I believe a couple of outcomes are certain; they would be independent, fluent, readers that could make meaning from complex texts.

I plan to use word sorts in the future as well- at any grade level I teach.
