After reading this book, I realized that researching and teaching go together well. With research, you have a question, you observe, and look for answers to your questions. You have to test ideas to see what works and what does not. In the book, Wilfrid asks the question "What is a memory"? He then researches for the answers. He asks several people what a memory is. He then gathers information by collecting artifacts.

In the book, after researching, Wilfrid then teaches what he has researched to Miss Nancy. His research and teaching prove to be successful because Miss Nancy remembers many things.

It is very similar in the classroom. As a teacher, we research new ideas and strategies to try and help our students. We gather information and then test the strategies and ideas with our students. We then determine which methods work and which do not.
