Carla, you are right about how teachers are researching new ideas and strategies all the time in their classroom in order to help their students. I know that I am always looking for the best method to teach reading to my students who struggle the most. There are many reading programs and strategies out there that say they're researched based, but it sometimes gets confusing. The more I learn about teaching reading, the more I question some of the programs and strategies our county requires us to use, even though 'they' say they are researched based.
