I liked what you said about the teacher needing to research her/his subject in order to know more about the problem. It just occurred to me how much time Wilfrid probably spent with Miss Nancy and he must have had a great sense of her past life, just by being around her because he pulled random objects that she was indeed able to connect with. I know if I see a student with any type of issue in my classroom, I always try to work to the bottom of it to figure out what the root of the problem really is.
