It is really important that both Sarah and Carla have observed informally that kids are really tuned in in a different way during Readers Theater. Engagement predicts gains in reading comprehension as well as sustained effort. Many strategies work, but the more important question for you all is what will work longest and best. Good for both of you for watching your students so closely.

        I found my scripts online at Waltke's web. They have this for different grade levels. There is also much more to use with students. All I had to do is choose a script and print it.
