It is hard when you are around a bunch of veteran teachers who never want to try anything new. I have been there before. I try to seek out the teachers who think out of the box and try new things. I do not focus on the teachers who do not. I think your principal like many other principals want teachers to explore new ways in doing things-however, many teachers feel burned out on what they have now. It is easier to fuss than try something new! If you can not find any teachers that want to try new strategies for the best interests of the students at your school-be the role model. It will catch on!
