For the Boyle paper, I have decided to make this a theme paper in order to show recurring ideas in his stories. Although I haven't decided on a specific theme, there are numerous examples throughout many of the stories we've read so far. There exists a plethora of greed throughout Boyle's stories and I don't believe it will be difficult to string them together in a paper. Boyle seems adamant in showing scenes of lust, greed, gluttony, etc within his tales, with each story so far seeming to end in unexpected or dull ways. In a way, Boyle seems to be giving justification on how monotonous and dull reality can be at times. Instead of sending you away with a typical "happily ever after" ending, we are shown endings where sometimes good people die and villains win.
