For the argument paper, I will be writing about the Second Amendment, or the right to bear arms. I will argue that the right to bear arms should stay in place, and as citizens of a free country we should have that right. I will be using a lot of statistics from around the country to help prove my point. I have already found a few websites that show very interesting suggestions. For example, in Texas, it is very easy to obtain a gun. You do not need to fill out a lot of paperwork, and the state doesnít monitor who has what gun. All you need is a valid state identification card to prove your age, and you can buy a gun. So, because it is so easy to obtain a gun in Texas, those who are against the right to bear arms would assume that there is more gun violence and murders in Texas than most states. This however, is untrue. Texas is 17th on the list of the 50 states when it comes to murders per 100,000 people. Statistics like that will make it a lot easier to prove my point and write my paper. I have used google to find different websites that I am looking for, and that has made my research online pretty easy. I feel it will be very difficult however to find a written source for my paper. I will have to make a few trips to the library to do some research, and I think that will be the toughest obstacle in writing this paper. This paper has been more difficult to prepare for than the ones we have written in the past because we have had to do actual research. For the narrative paper, it was easy to write about an experience that we have had in our lives. We did not need to do research, everything was just from memory. For the Boyle paper, we had only one source to use. We did not need to go on the internet and search for different sources, everything was already put right in front of us.
