The color coded eye gaze is so amazing to me! The children using this have real intelligence to be able to pick up on this concept so quickly and with such ease ( from what we have seen).

I too thought about my own children in my classroom as I read Fostering Emergent Writing for Children with Significant Disabilities. The children in my classroom are very emergent writers (kind.)- so it is actually hard to tell right now if there are any problems that may occur as we begin to write more. But- motiviation and their own interests are key in our writing! I have to keep thinking of new ways to engage them and excite them about the writing process :) If it is not something about themselves or something they have thought up- it usually doesn't go as well!
