Crate size

Hi Ian!
Our size we have for both boys (2 crates) about 30" high and about 27.5" wide, this size seemed to be good for both, we got them at Walmart, and are adjustable for the small pup when you want to limit his space. Keep the top and sides covered, they like the den-like feeling, I use large bath towels. . .the same with inside, keep it simple towels are easily laundered. Rich's pups do come "crate trained", which is half of the battle, they actually think of their crate as a safe place/their space. Good luck there's nothing better than having a new pup! Any other ?'s just ask away. . . We have a almost 4 year old and an almost 2 year old. . . great dogs!!!

We got the large wire crate that Rich recommended, not knowing for sure how large she would get. We're so glad that we did. She only weighs around 30 pounds, but it's nice for her to have the room to ... more

I reccomend the 42" crate with the dividing interior (moveable) wall. Give them just enough room to turn around in as a pup and move wall as they grow. There will be some info on this in your kit as... more

I got the big crate for my puppies because they grow so fast and the big crate has a divider in it so you can make your puppy stay on one side of the crate but as they grow you can move the divider.

Thank you all for the replies. We are waiting to see if we are getting a pup from this litter before we buy anything. I will definitely be getting crate with a divider in it.
