Lack of desire to eat

Our 2 1/2.year old is not interested in eating. He was biting at his tail and paws and so we went to fish diet of Orijin and a little wilderness blue salmon. He loved it and now could care less. Sometimes I hand feed him or coax with a treat to get started. Great loving dog, but sort of moody. Any ideas?

Thanks for reply. I would like suggestions of bones or treats that are safe for my doodle. He has ruined several pairs of my shoes if they are not out of his reach. Thanks. Joanne

There is a recipe on the website for a "healthy" treat. We make them for all of our dogs and every dog loves them. Regarding shoes, I assume you have followed a rigid crate schedule while training... more

BTW, the recipe was included in the info kit we sent out to everyone who purchased a pup from us. Here it is, again. Healthy Homemade Dog Treats 1 Medium ripe banana 1 cup shredded carrots ... more

I never heard back about the Vet. Sometimes a pup may have less of an appetite if he or she is stressed which can cause a protozoa they carry in their gut to act up...coccidia. Very treatable
