Issue Paper Topic

I have finally decided to write my paper on the issue of abortion. It took me a while to decide on this topic, but after looking for resources I found that abortion would probably be a good topic to choose. There seemed to be plenty of up to date sources that will provide me with solid information. The two sides of this issue are pretty straight forward. There is the anti-abortion side, which is obviously against legalized abortion. Then there is the pro-choice side of the issue, which is in favor of a woman's freedom to choose whether or not she wishes to have an abortion. Both sides appear to have a good amount of information supporting that particular side of the issue.
I feel that I will face many challenges throughout the writing process of this paper. The first challenge I will face is the one that I am currently having right now. Now that I have decided on a topic, I need to begin writing the rough draft for my paper. I've found enough sources to support both sides of my selected issue, but now I need to get actual words down on paper. The second challenge I think I'm going to run in to is going to be providing enough supporting information for both sides of the issue of abortion. I want to make sure that each side is equally represented, and that my paper is completely free of any biased material. I will need to read over my paper many times to double check that the topic I have selected is presented with both sides of the issue evenly discussed. The last challenge I may face will be in not allowing my emotions to influence the way I write my paper. I have to remind myself that I am writing an issue paper and not an argumentative paper. I grew up in a household where arguing was second nature. My dad could probably argue with some of the best lawyers in the world if they would ever allow him to, and abortion is one of his favorite issues to argue. I have to be careful when I write my paper not to allow the argumentative side of me to control how I discuss each side.
