I have settled with the topic of animal rights and the testing of animals by pharmaceutical companies and other research based studies done on animals. One side of the argument is from the people are for having the animals tested on because we gain benefits done by the results of the studies. For example we could use the animals to treat various diseases and find new vaccines needed to fight off new strands of diseases. The other side of the argument is from the animal rights activists who are against the testing of animals. I am curious to see what information I can find and hearing the different viewpoints and reasons that each one of the sides can come up with. I personally feel that animals can be tested on as long as it is for human benefit medically or for food or something of that sort but there is a fine line between animal cruelty and animal testing for human benefit I feel. That leads me into the next question of this discussion for what I feel the greatest challenge will be in writing this paper. I believe while writing the paper and reading information it will be very hard for me to not express a bias for one side of the other. As well as that challenge I think it will be hard for me to decide which information and reasons I should put into the paper and being able to find information to counter the others side throughout the paper. With those aside I feel that if I begin this paper early enough and find strong enough sources to counter each sideís arguments that this will be a fairly easy last paper to type. Animal rights has been a common issue for quite some time now so I hopefully will find plenty of sources on the topic. I also believe there will be plenty of print sources and I plan on utilizing the libraries source finder again as it proved to be useful in the last paper we had to write. I look forward to never having to type another English paper again.
