I have made great progress so far on my paper. I have a good solid 4 pages, but since Wednesday's class I've went back to revise it to get away for a summary paper to the paper I am currently writing. I've had to go back to put in the quotes directly from the book, so that has made my progress a whole lot better. Though the hardest part so far was picking what I wanted to write about, and once I knew that I wanted to do the common theme, I had to go back since the Wednesday class and revise the paper because I did have a summary to begin with but since then I have fixed that. Since then though it has been just flowing. The easiest part after getting what I wanted to write about, was getting the stories and picking the common theme and then connecting them all together. That was really very easy though, because it all really did connect, once you started to relate the Animal/Environmental, the stories just flowed together. I saw how they connected and shared that common element of the Animal/Environmental theme. As you probably would have guessed by now I have decided to do my paper on a common theme of a few stories. I decided to do this because a compare and contrast paper on limited you to two papers, and with this I could incorporate more than two stories into my work, I have three stories in my paper. I also just figured it'd be a little easier, to relate a theme to multiple pieces of work rather than tell how the stories are a like or how they are different. When I'm writing a paper like this I like to have more than a set rule, of like just two papers to compare, if there was three I might have considered that. Like even the theme papers, when I e-mailed you about using more than one theme, like having a little fall back room. So that is why I decided to write it on a common theme rather than on a compare and contrast paper.
