In all honesty the very first day was the moment I realized what I was really in for. I didnít really know what to expect form a college level English course and I was in for a rude awakening it seemed. At first all seemed really easy as long as you read and put thought into the in class essays all would be good. Then came the first paper we had to do. I thought that it couldnít get easier than writing about yourself but I was very wrong. I knew I had some flaws and problems in the paper yet I still kind of thought Iíd get a good grade. When I got that paper back it had a nice fat d+ on it and my heart sunk. I figured ok itís one paper and many more to go. Then the second paper was the same thing. Another d+ and Iím beginning to worry. However, I am very thankful for the fact of how strict you are oddly enough. Being very strict drives me to make sure I put in 100% into all of my papers and not half ass them like the high school years. It makes me actually sit down and put thought and feeling into what I write about and broadens my perspective on writing. I am also glad that while you are strict you make coming to class desirable. I have never missed a face to face class because I really enjoy coming which not all teachers do a good job of. I can expect to come to class every day and laugh, even if it is about me and all. When it comes to thinking what I havenít benefited from its hard to think of anything. I enjoy coming to class and you really help lay the foundation for all the papers we do which really helps when starting to write the paper. There really isnít anything that I have not benefited from because I couldíve asked for anything to be done differently. I am glad for the teacher I have and the classmates and hope I have more classes like this in the future.
