The most challenging part of writing my paper was picking a meaningful topic. I thought for a couple days about what event in my life has had the biggest impact. Finally, I concluded it was between my car accident or my senior track season. I chose my senior track season because that really changed my attitude about many things. Now that I had my topic, I started to write an introduction. I have never been good with introductions so after staring at my computer screen for a while I decided to write the body. Thinking of details for my experience wasnít too hard because I remember everything so vividly. I wrote as much as I could think of on a web outline because I like to organize my details before composing. I thought I had a lot of details until I started blowing through them without filling as much paper as I thought I would. I knew this was a problem because obviously the body of the paper is going to take up the most room and I definitely wasnít at four pages. I went back and started elaborating on the details that were on my outline. Letting my mind go with writing all the details down was a total success. The only bad part about this was that I started to ramble on and say insignificant things. After I finished my body and was satisfied with it, I pulled main details out so that I could create an introductory paragraph. This method made the intro process so much easier than when I had attempted it at the beginning of the paper. I wish I would have known about this in high school because I always stared at a blank page for an hour before starting since I could never think of anything to say. The easiest part for me was explaining my feelings during my experience. As I wrote about my event, it made me appreciate it even more than when it actually happened. The hardest part about this paper was organizing my ideas so that everything flowed together nicely.
