The final topic for my Annotated Bibliography is teaching techniques/classroom management for a history or social studies classroom. I have chosen this topic for several reasons. The first being I will have to write papers in the future dealing with education-based prompts. Having these sources in the bibliography will be very useful for those papers. The second reason is that when I go over these sources, I hope to glean some of the information from them so that I may apply them when I am a teacher. Knowing that not everyone is as fanatical about history as I am, it will be useful knowing how to relate them so that they will be engaged with the subject at the very least.

Most of the sources that Iíve found have been scholarly articles rather than full books or newspaper articles. Thereís only so much you can say about teaching styles and techniques in the classroom without being redundant, so the articles are the right length to get the point across effectively. Not to mention I donít feel like shooting myself at the end of it due to the sheer length and incessant use of completely unnecessary words that have twenty three syllables. Most of my sources I have found through the Joyner Library database. The articles were printed, but the library only has them as a PDF file, but my search also gave me all of the publication information (Where it was published, when, what city, etc.) so I should be good as far as my print sources go.

My main concern is again, making sure everything is in MLA format, and just all in all being right. Seeing as infractions are deducted in ďeachesĒ I am VERY concerned about this; especially seeing how MLA formatting, or the lack thereof, took my grade down on my paper. I am going to several places to make sure the Annotated Bibliography is in MLA format such as the link provided on the website, the Bedford book, and quite possibly the Writing Center. And then thereís the obvious concern about completing the project at all. Iím not saying I wonít, but I have to wait until the weekend to really be able to make any leeway on the project and I hate that. But Iíll suck it up, do it all in one setting despite the warning not to, and have a million people help me proofread it. Fingers crossed!
