I found a couple of things challenging about the annotated bibliography. The main one was finding a topic to write about. I felt like no matter what I chose, it was not narrow enough, or did not have enough information available to cite. Another difficulty I had was for every summary, I kept repeating a lot of what I said in previous annotations, so I kept trying to reword many of the same ideas. Stating the audience in every paragraph was one of the main parts that I felt I was replicating, but I had to just keep reminding myself that each had to have that important part, so it was OK to repeat. I also found it kind of tough to find fifteen sources that included a lot of detail and data pertaining to the topic. A lot of my articles were based off of studies that were done on children with diabetes, to where I wanted to try to veer away from that type of research, and get other methods researchers did to get data and statistics. For the articles that I did not use the library database for, it was annoying to try to find different articles that were from 2008 to the present date on Google or other search engines. Doing so made finding articles a little more difficult to research. I found writing the summaries of the resources as the easier part of the annotated bibliography. Although I sometimes felt as though I was repeating myself, once I got over that, the summarizations were not too bad to write. Overall I felt like my annotated bibliography was pretty good. I think I struggled in some spots, but did a better job on this paper than the first one. Finding the fifteen sources and having to write an annotation for every one got kind of annoying after the first several ones written, but I liked how once you did the annotation, you were done with that idea. Normally with papers, I will sometimes lose interest in the topic I am writing about for that paragraph and not know what else to write. With this paper, it was nice to just be done with that article once the summary was complete.
