At first I thought the annotated bibliography was going to be an impossible task. I took Mr. Bateís advice and broke it apart and it wasnít that bad. One of the hardest things for me was finding relevant sources that were different. I felt like a lot of my sources were the same. To solve this issue I went to the library and got several books on topics that related to my topic of teen alcohol and drug abuse. Related topics included developmental psychology, advertising, marketing, and health risks. I also used the JSTOR data base to narrow my search and find related journal articles, books, and magazines within the allotted date range. I thought that doing the citations was very easy. At first I used the online citation provided on the data base website. I soon learned that these citations were totally incorrect. I used the Bedford book and it really helped me out, I donít think I would have been able to complete the project without it. The book provides examples and explains the citation process step by step, the citation examples proved to be the most beneficial. I observed that most of my audiences were the same. I went back and read the article thoroughly to narrow the audiences. After reading the article a few times over I would consider who was publishing it. Articles were published for medical, support, and educational purposes. The night before the annotated bibliography was due I also had a problem trying to print it. The dorms printers were all broken and I was running around like a mad man trying to find a printer. Luckily I have good hall mates and they helped me out by letting me print my annotated bib in their room. After submitting my annotated bibliography I feel good. I feel like my writing has improved over the course of the semester. I think that doing the informative essay and annotated bibliography have set me up to knock the argumentative essay out of the park. Overall I am confident in my annotated bibliography and am ready to start the argumentative essay and finish out English 1200 with a bang.

What did you find most challenging about the annotated bibliography? What did you find easiest about doing the annotated bib? Now that you have submitted it, how do you feel about your Ann. Bib?
