I think I will have a problem fully developing both sides of the argument. If this happens it will appear that I am taking one side of the issue, which is not the case. I think there is going to be a lot of information for one side and the other side is going to be hard to find information on.
I am most concerned about fully developing both sides of the argument. This concerns me because I do not want my paper to appear biased because that is one important thing we have consistently talked about in class.
I have been able to find some information about the side supporting the death penalty. I decided to look up one side of the issue, write about that, and then do the other side. While looking up information for one side sometimes information from the other side also comes up. One of the things that I have noticed is the side opposing the death penalty uses a lot of biblical references to support their claims. This side claims that it is against the 10 commandments. It says thou shall not kill. There is not a clause that says thou shall not kill unless they killed first. These kinds of comments come up a lot while looking at the opposing side. The supporting side also uses an eye for an eye as a supporting phrase. This is also from the bible. I know we talked in class about not using ďfaithĒ as a reference. I hope this does not become an issue when I start to look for information for the opposing side.
There has not been anything surprising that has come up just yet. It is interesting enough that it has not been painful to write. After we covered the organization of the paper Wednesday I do not have any more questions. I do not think there are many more questions you can put into this online discussion, seems to me you have covered all bases. There were not too many questions. There were just enough to help me reach 350 words with babbling too much.
