I know I will face various challenges while writing this paper but I know my biggest one will be remaining unbiased. As much as I would like to side with one view on my topic I have to remain unbiased and make sure it doesnít show in my writings. I canít put too much information about one side of the debate and give little information on the other side of it. I also have to make sure I donít use biased words or generalize different viewpoints. Another challenge I know I will face is finding unbiased information. As easy as it would be to type in my topic on Google, doing so would probably give me biased resources. I will have to verify that my information is unbiased and hopefully the Joyner database will help me find those unbiased sources.
My biggest concern is, as I said, remaining unbiased during my writing. I am also concerned about finding reliable, unbiased sources. I know I will probably procrastinate so that will cause some challenges to me as well. I also am worried about following the correct formats and all of that kind of stuff. I donít want to lose points on my paper for simply formatting it wrong.
Yeah about the whole research thing, I have not started yet so I donít so I have not found any information yet. I plan on starting sometime during the exam period because I only have three finals so I will have plenty of time to write the paper. I intend to find about three or four sources for each side of my topic. If that is not enough I will look for more sources in the database. I am sure I will find some interesting information. I will probably find out about new things I have never heard of and maybe after researching I might even change my view on the topic. If that happens it would definitely help me remain unbiased because I will be able to see both sides of the argument because I would have been on both sides.
I canít think of any more questions off of the top of my head. I am sure we will discuss the paper further in class this week and that will help resolve any questions I may think of. The more questions the merrier I say. It gives me more to write about, meaning I wonít have to BS my discussion to make it the right length. There are never to many questions.
