I found that the most challenging part of the annotated bibliography was taking the time to read each source and then write the citation for those sources. The reading of the journals was the most difficult because most of them were several pages long and very technical. The citations for those were pretty easy to complete and many even had it already in there for you to use. The websites though easier to read, were more difficult to write citations for. I had to search for a lot of the necessary information pretty hard and even then a lot of the sites were missing several pieces of information. Especially the dates the pages were published and the authors. It was not necessary to have all this information to write an acceptable citation but I prefer to have more complete citations for my sources because it looks better and ensures that the right person gets credit for the work. I think the easiest part of the annotated bibliography was to write the annotation for each source that I found. All you had to do was summarize what you read in a few sentences, concentrating on the information unique to that source. Then you just have to identify the audience that the source was original intended for and who would most benefit from reading the source. This was easily identifiable by looking at the type of language used in the writing, the style of writing, and the type of vocabulary used in the writing. I feel fairly good about my annotated bibliography; I really wish that I had re-read it one more time before turning it in to ensure that everything was correct with it, especially my citations. However, I believe each of my sources met the criteria, was cited correctly and had an appropriate annotation included with it. I plan to use the same topic from my annotated bibliography in my issue paper so that I can actually utilize my annotated bibliography, because I find the topic very interesting and believe I found some very good sources while completing this assignment.
