Overall I enjoyed the annotated bibliography. I came across a few challenges along the way, such as, staying focused while reading long articles, choosing sources that fit my topic accurately and narrowing down my topic while still being able to find enough sources. Most of the articles I found were 8 to 10 pages in length. Reading the abstract before reading the body was helpful in finding if the source was appropriate. After reading the abstract I found it hard to get through the rest of the article. Even though I was struggling to read the in-depth writing I found it useful for comparing sources. My topic was homosexuality in religion. The topic I chose has very little ďscientificĒ research so finding articles that met the criteria was difficult. Religion is based on beliefs which made my topic less concrete. Religion is also a very broad topic that has lots of facets. There are many different types of religions and most have similar beliefs. I tried to choose articles on each of that main religions which made my annotated bibliography a little scattered and unorganized. Once I wrote the first five or six annotations I found it easier to continue and narrow down what I needed to say. Writing the annotations became easier but making them sound different was tough. All of my annotations started to sound similar and boring. The topic being less narrow turned out to be helpful by the end because I could use articles with unique information and still make it fit into my annotations. Figuring out how to make my bibliography MLA format was challenging but once I managed to do the first couple it became easier. I enjoyed the assignment but I am relieved that I have completed it and turned it in. This was a challenging paper to write but Iím glad I got the practice and it will be useful for writing research papers for my major. I feel I did better on this assignment than the last one. Evaluating sources and writing research papers are required skills for my major and future career. In general, Iím glad we had this assignment and I found it helpful.

What did you find most challenging about the annotated bibliography? What did you find easiest about doing the annotated bib? Now that you have submitted it, how do you feel about your Ann. Bib?
