My experience in ENGL 1200 this semester has been very interesting. The first day of class was horrifying. I wanted nothing more than to drop your class and take this course with another teacher. To put it in simple terms, you seemed like a complete asshole. I was hoping that it was your intention to terrify the class by saying things like ďI am the toughest grader in ENGL 1200Ē, ďIím not afraid to hurt your feelingsĒ and you cussed like a sailor. I decided to go against my better judgment and not drop the class because I didnít want to feel like a scared pussy. So I stayed and not too much changed. Instead of talking at the class the first few days you began to engage the entire class. Youíre harsh grading is rash, but my writing sucks. So I suppose I deserved the low grades I got. Extra credit opportunities would have been awesome though, just saying. Your comments on my informational paper helped a lot in my revision process. Not only did you point of my mistakes but you also added a lengthy paragraph at the end of my paper with more ideas that would help my paper flow better and add cohesion. The least beneficial aspect of the class in my opinion was the ten minute free writes. I didnít exactly understand why you made the class do those on a regular basis except for us to gain experience improve writing in a short period. My experience in this class was different from other English classes I have taken in the past. You were funny, yet a sarcastic ...er which was drastically different from boring English teachers I have had in the past. Instead of lecturing all class period you preferred to have class discussions which were nice. One aspect of you class that was drastically different from other classes I have taken was that you got pissed off if we were quiet, that was hard to get used to. I have never had a teacher that literally got mad as hell because the room was silent. Overall, I enjoyed the class very much and Iím glad I stuck through your sarcasm and didnít pull myself out of the class. Youíre not half bad after all!
