I knew this video was coming and watching it again didnít make me think it was any less stupid than before. It does, however, perfectly explain this discussion board. Why 11, there is no reason for it other than an extra little something at the end. I missed I think two discussion boards so this will give me that one more extra little something at the end of the semester to hopefully put me right over the top. I really enjoyed this semester in English as well as last semester. I really do believe that this class has taught me how to be a much better writer than I was before. Looking back at papers I wrote in high school and even last semester, they have improved a lot. Even though those stupid and ever so confusing Boyle stories were assigned, I still enjoyed going over them the next class and listening to the sarcasm in Boyleís writing through Mr. Bates. There are definitely some stories I liked more than others but I think what I liked most about them this semester was that I didnít have to write a paper about them at the end. I think it allowed me to actually enjoy the stories. I also got a little better and figuring out when we would or wouldnít have an in class reading essay.
Iím pretty content with my first year at college and even though I didnít make the best grades in English, I know I improved as a writer. Iím glad I didnít just take an easy professor that would just give me an A for writing a bunch of words on a paper. Thatís what high school was and it really just ends up hurting you as a writer. Iím not trying to suck up or anything but Iím pretty sure this will be one of my most memorable classes in college. I still remember calling my mom after my first day of class last semester and telling her how all of my classes went. I remember telling her how my English professor was going to be a really hard grader and he scared us by telling us that most of us would probably fail. Also how he CUSSED AT US! Now I enjoy going every day and wondering what sarcastic thing will he say today. Even if that day is on FridayÖ
