Having now submitted my annotated bibliography, looking back on it I now realize it really was not all that bad. Before I wrote it, I was really scared of it. Just the title alone, annotated bibliography, sounds very daunting and challenging. I had the term thrown around before, but I didnít really know what it was exactly and what it meant. All I knew was that it sounded hard. However, once I read the course website example I realized it wouldnít be that bad after all. The thing that I found the most challenging about it was really just sitting down and making myself do it. Once I sat down to do it, it really was not that hard. It was just a challenge making myself sit down, focus, and do it. It was also challenging writing my descriptions of each source because I felt like I would get very repetitive. Sure there was a pattern I was supposed to follow while doing it, but after doing the same thing fifteen times it gets a little dull. You also start to worry, did I repeat myself too much, did I remember to address the audience, and am I keeping it interesting? All sorts of questions like that kept popping into my head. But it really was challenging to just sit down, focus, and do it. Once I was able to get myself started, I was on a roll. The easiest thing was really just the formatting of it and basically filling in a template. It was all laid out there for us on the course website, then it was a simply a matter of applying our own topic and sources into it. That part was really easy to do. Also once I got started, it really wasnít too hard to churn out my fifteen descriptions, it just took a lot of time. Looking back now, I feel for the most part pretty good about my annotated bibliography for the most part. Nothingís ever perfect so thereís always room for improvement but I felt I did a pretty good job. Looking back Iím a little skeptical and concerned if I actually had the right number of print sources or not, but thatís something I guess Iíll find out when I get it back!

What did you find most challenging about the annotated bibliography? What did you find easiest about doing the annotated bib? Now that you have submitted it, how do you feel about your Ann. Bib?

Nothing in the annotated bibliography was too overly difficult. It was a lot of repetition when writing the paragraph that followed the source. It just felt like I was almost saying the same thing... more
