I have always had a really great experience with my English teachers in my past classes. They have always been very helpful from giving me advice and personally looking over my papers before I turn them in. A memorable teacher that I had in high school was Mrs. Klaich. She taught me AP English 3. She would always tell us exactly what she wanted to see on our paper. She would specifically explain to us what it takes to get an A on the paper, a B on the paper and so on. This to me was highly beneficial because then we had no excuse to not know what she expected of our paper and us. Another thing she would do to help us was she would personally go over our papers before we turned them in for a final grade. She was very famous for all of her red pen marks on the rough drafts. But I loved when she marked up the papers because then I would know what I needed to work on. I was very lucky to have a great English teacher for my English 1100 class here at ECU. We had to set up meetings with her during her office hours and she would sit down with us and she would personally go over the paper with us there. I am very pleased to hear that I can bring in my paper to you as many times as I need to before it is due and you will go over it with me! My rough drafts tend to be very rough and thatís why I was pleased to hear that you wouldnít mind reading over it. You also did specifically go over what you expect our papers to be like. You pretty much covered my main two expectations of what I think an English teacher should do. It would be a hard semester if you just gave us a topic of what to write about but never specifically stated what you expect. And on top of all of that you are a really funny teacher and I do look forward to your class every Monday Wednesday and Friday!
