The use of a social bookmarking site has never been initiated by me before. However completing the research and creation process, I have decided that these web pages could be extremely useful in a classroom setting. Through the help of the article, A Nice Paper by Forbes (2004), having the immediate access to such manipulatives can not only increase classroom and time management skills but give students the ability to learn effectively, IF the content is available on the web. I would use the bookmarking technology the way the two educators in the article did. It was great that they managed to collaborate and co-teach together. If a teacher was alone she could still use the social bookmarking site the same way.

I read these two articles comparing and contrasting these social bookmarking sites, “How does Pinterest compare to Diigo compare to Delicious?” and “A Review of Social Bookmarking & Other Link Curation Tools.” I like how Moone_LIS6303 gave insight into the interchanging posts from Diigo to Delicious. Even the comment below her blog was helpful to find that going from Delicious to Diigo is the way to merge bookmarks together. This, in addition to the blog by Julie Niles Petersen, assisted me in making my decision to create my social bookmarking site on Delicious.com. Delicious has been easy to maneuver and was simplistic in creating an account. With the help of the toolbar application, research can be completed and added to the Delicious profile with the click of a button.
