Groups are a good option or your can create pages. I created a page for my English class. My students can like and view the page, but they can't see my facebook.

You might also use edmodo. It's sort of like an educational facebook. Students can use this and parents can get a log in that lets them see a specific students assignments.

        I think that sounds like a good idea. I like that you can pick and choose what you want accessible for the group page!
