Kassy,

Great points! I went through the same mental processes, and came to Pinterest. I'm still getting used to it. Like you, I think it might be best for teachers, and not teachers and students. But I'm going to see what I can do.

Diigo is awesome as a teacher tool, but I simply can't see it for struggling readers or little kids. It just isn't pretty! But it is content rich, and would be great to keep track of professional articles and teaching ideas.

Someone mentioned Symbaloo. A teacher at my last internship used this, and the kids could use it better than me! I might have to look into using Symbaloo and forego my Pinterest page. It would be very easy for poor readers and younger students to use (although I'll have to get used to it!).

Robyn's Scoop.it! looked interesting, and I might investigate it further. It still wasn't as visually appealing as I like, although I really like the fact that there are pictures and texts (always a good thing for struggling readers).

Kassy, a great tool for students to easily access websites is creating a Symbaloo. You can visit the site at http://www.symbaloo.com/

That is one reason why I chose Pinterest. I knew that you would be able to create specific boards and keep things very organized and easy to use.
